This is a traveling consultant position. The incumbent can live most anywhere; key areas of activity are DC, MD, VA, CO, CA, and AZ.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Senior VSTS/TFS ALM Consultant will successfully design, install, configure, deploy and support Team Foundation Server for a wide range of public sector, not for profit and private sector software development organizations
- Provide guidance in implementing and customizing MSF for Agile Development, MSF for CMMI Process Improvement, SCRUM and variations of all methodologies for TFS
- Provide guidance in all areas of the application lifecycle including: requirements engineering, project planning and management, architecture and design for service oriented architecture, development patterns and practices, software configuration management, testing and quality assurance, as well as deployment & operations
- Provide client organizations with exemplary Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio and Application Lifecycle Management experience and insight
- Support the delivery of comprehensive consultancy services, including supporting the work of colleagues at Adventos
- Work with the Adventos team to strengthen the company, develop existing client relationships and to identify and secure new opportunities and future business streams

Professional Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Information Systems
- Professional certification(s) in Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 or greater
- A proven track record of people, project and change management in the public sector or similar organizations
- 5 years of experience in application lifecycle management
- 5 years of experience in requirements engineering
- 5 years of experience in testing and quality assurance
- 5 years of experience in software configuration management
- 5 years of .NET development
- 2 years of experience in service oriented architecture
- 2 years of technical training or public speaking
- 1 year of Team Foundation Server administration
